Matchbook (“Matchbook”, “we”, “us”) is a personalized shopping recommendation platform, currently operated as an independent project by an individual based in the United States. By using buildmatchbook.com or the Matchbook web app, you agree to these terms. They’re written in plain language to be easy to understand.

Recommendations are informational

Matchbook provides styling suggestions to help you shop. Our recommendations are informational and for your convenience— they’re not professional advice, and the final decision to buy is always yours.

Prices and availability may change

Product details, prices, and availability are set by retailers and can change at any time. Information shown on Matchbook may be out of date, and some product data shown today is illustrative example content rather than a live retailer listing. Always confirm the current details on the retailer’s own site before buying.

Purchases happen on third-party retailer sites

Matchbook does not sell products. When you decide to buy, you complete your purchase on a third-party retailer’s website, subject to their terms, pricing, shipping, returns, and customer service. We are not a party to that transaction.

We may suspend access that does. The Matchbook name, site, and content are ours; please don’t copy or reuse them without permission, aside from normal personal use of the service.

Matchbook is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. We don’t guarantee that recommendations will be perfect, that product information is accurate or current, or that the service will always be available or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or incidental losses arising from your use of the service, from decisions you make based on our recommendations, or from purchases you complete on a retailer’s site.

Changes to these terms

As Matchbook grows, we may update these terms. When we make material changes, we’ll update the “Last updated” date above. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the operator resides, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
